Johannah Rutschow

Johannah Rutschow moved to Cottonwood with her family in August '05 (she is married to our pastor at Peace).  Johannah brings with her 4 years of experience in toddler programs, having been an assistant teacher for 2 years and lead teacher for 2 years in a similar program in the Cleveland suburbs.  The 2010-2011 school year marks the 5th year of Toddler Power Hour in Cottonwood.  Johannah has a bachelor’s degree in psychology and a master’s degree in labor relations and human resources.  She currently stays at home full-time and finds her master’s degree useful in successfully (at times) negotiating peace between her 3 children. 


Fred & Darlene Howe (Papa and Granny)
"Papa" and "Granny", as they are known to the students, have been Power Hour assistants for the last 3 years. Darlene is a mother and grandmother with a background and interest in education. Fred is a former principal.  Both are now retired in Camp Verde and enjoy spending time with their grandchildren and outdoors.


Charmaine Widmann
Mrs. Charmaine Widman is one of our regular class assistants.  As a mother of 6 and a retired elementary school teacher, Charmaine’s experience is priceless.  Charmaine has been an Arizona resident since the 1940’s, and has lived in Camp Verde for over 18 years.  In her free time Charmaine is a master bargain shopper and also runs her own business from home.  Charmaine’s easy way with children and parents alike make her a valuable asset to our program!

Along with our regular teachers, the Power Hour class will be assisted by a number of class volunteers.  Our volunteers will help with craft and snack set-up, and they are also available to help moms and caregivers throughout the class period.
